Keeping the curves relaxed gives the garden bench a natural feel. Through tenons with wedged locks were used to allow the bench to be dis-assembled and stored in winter. An ‘oak bolet’ was invented to connect the diagonal brace with the cross tie. Th bench has been made from green oak which is likely to move over the next couple of years - adding character! The bench top kept it’s natural edges, which feels more confortable in the garden.
